Wild Jordan Center Rooftop

The secret viewpoint where Amman lights up at dusk

Hidden among the hills of Amman, the Wild Jordan Center Rooftop offers one of the most special and relaxing views of the entire Jordanian capital. Far from the noise of traffic and the hustle and bustle of the souks, this elevated terrace has become one of those corners where travelers and locals sit for hours simply watching the city change color as evening falls.

From here you can see the endless white houses that cover the mountains of Amman, the mosques slowly lighting up and the sound of the call to prayer spreading throughout the city as the sun disappears over the desert horizon.

The space was created by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, one of the most important environmental organizations in the Middle East. Their goal was not just to build a viewpoint or a cafe with a view, but to demonstrate that tourism could be developed while respecting nature and helping to protect some of Jordan's most valuable landscapes.

That is why the building was designed using local materials, water saving systems and a very careful integration with the surroundings of the Amman hills. In addition, a large part of the products and crafts sold there come from rural and Bedouin communities in the country, directly supporting small sustainable projects.

One of the most special moments comes just after sunset, when warm lights begin to appear over the hills and Amman transforms into a huge golden mosaic. With a mint tea in hand and the warm desert breeze, the place exudes a calm that is difficult to find in any other capital in the Middle East.Text
