Your secret place in Paris is...

SMALL BELT

The Petite Ceinture is a former double-track railway line that ran through Paris along the Boulevards des Maréchaux. Its tracks are now invaded by wild flora with an unusual biodiversity, including more than 200 plant species and over 70 animal species.

In 2007, the first section was opened to walkers in the 16th arrondissement, between Porte d'Auteuil and La Muette station. Since then, new sections have been regularly opened to the public. Often overlooked by Parisians, this greenway, a testament to a rural capital, is a must-do without delay! Some of the former stations along the Petite Ceinture have been converted into bars, restaurants, and cultural venues (the Poinçon in the 14th arrondissement, the Brasserie Auteuil in the 16th arrondissement, the Hasard Ludique in the 18th arrondissement, etc.).
