The Traveler

Located in the La Latina neighborhood, since 1995, it's become a local staple, especially in spring and summer, where you can enjoy tapas, wine, beer, and drinks on its terrace and rooftop. Since 2021, the City Council has recognized it as a Madrid Cultural Heritage Site, recognizing its work promoting culture in the city, with a plaque displayed at its entrance.

It is located in a 19th century mansion with three floors:

  • On the ground floor, there's a lounge that, reminiscent of a food market , is a place to chat over aperitifs or enjoy tapas in company at any time of day. The dishes on the menu are made with top-quality ingredients and fresh produce from the Mercado de la Cebada.
  • On the first floor is the lobby , which, through its large windows, offers views of the Plaza de la Cebada and the picturesque wine cellars of Madrid de los Austrias. During the day, it can be used for lunch or a chat with a snack, and in the evening it becomes a space for a drink, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent music.
  • On the Roof , a garden space allows you to enjoy the best views of old Madrid, both in winter and summer.
