Your Secret place in Paris is...

PETITE CEINTURE

The Petite Ceinture is an old double-track railway line that ran through Paris inside the boulevards des Maréchaux. Its rails are now overrun by wild flora with unusual biodiversity, featuring more than two hundred plant species and more than seventy animal species.

In 2007, a first section was opened to walkers, in the 16th arrondissement, between Porte d'Auteuil and La Muette station. Since then, new sections have regularly been opened to the public. Often unknown even to Parisians themselves, this greenway, a trace of a rural capital, must be explored without delay! Some of the former stations of the Petite Ceinture have been turned into bars, restaurants, and cultural venues (Le Poinçon in the 14th arrondissement, Brasserie Auteuil in the 16th arrondissement, Le Hasard Ludique in the 18th arrondissement, etc.).
