Cerro del Tío Pío

The Cerro del Tío Pío is a park in Madrid located in the Numancia neighborhood, in the Puente de Vallecas district. It is situated between the Fontarrón neighborhood, the Santa Ana neighborhood, and the Taxi Drivers' neighborhood. It is also known by the nickname park of the Seven Tits, The Tits of Vallecas or, simply, The Tits, due to the shape of its hills. It is one of the best places in the city to watch the sunset, and from any of its hills, a large part of the city can be seen.

El Viajero

Located in the La Latina neighborhood, since 1995 it has been one of those establishments that has become a classic in the area, especially in spring and summer, where you can enjoy tapas, wines, beers, and drinks on its terrace and rooftop. Since 2021, the City Council has distinguished it as Cultural Heritage of Madrid, recognizing its work in promoting culture in the city, with a plaque that proudly hangs at its entrance.

It is housed in a three-story 19th-century palace:

  • On the ground floor, there is a lounge that, like a food market, is a place for chatting over vermouth or having tapas with company at any time of the day. The dishes on its menu are prepared with top-quality raw ingredients and fresh products from the Mercado de la Cebada.
  • On the first floor is the Lobby, from which, through its large windows, you can see the Plaza de la Cebada and the picturesque caves of Madrid de los Austrias. During the day, it can be used for eating or having a snack and chatting, and in the afternoon it becomes a space for a drink, with a relaxed atmosphere and accompanied by excellent music.
  • On the Rooftop, a landscaped area allows you to enjoy the best views of old Madrid, both in winter and summer.
