PETITE CEINTURE

The Petite Ceinture is a former double-track railway line that circled Paris inside the Boulevards des Maréchaux. Its tracks are now overgrown with wild flora of unusual biodiversity, boasting over two hundred plant species and more than seventy animal species.

In 2007, a first section was opened to walkers in the 16th arrondissement, between Porte d'Auteuil and La Muette station. Since then, new sections have been regularly opened to the public. Often unknown even to Parisians themselves, this greenway, a trace of a rural capital, should be explored without delay! Some of the old Petite Ceinture stations have been converted into bars, restaurants, and cultural venues (Le Poinçon in the 14th arrondissement, Brasserie Auteuil in the 16th, Le Hasard Ludique in the 18th, etc.).

Khayma Rooftop

Perched atop the ultra-hip Generator Paris hostel, located just steps from Canal Saint-Martin and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, is the trendy and inviting Khayma Rooftop.

Equipped with comfy lounge furniture, an awning, and a stylish bar, the 9th-floor wooden decked terrace also boasts fabulous panoramic views over Sacré-Coeur and Montmartre.

Open to everyone, hostel guest or not, Khayma Rooftop serves creative and crafted cocktails, wine, and beer, all available at very decent prices. There is also a selection of organic and vegetarian bites with Middle Eastern influences.

With a hip and youthful atmosphere, Khayma Rooftop usually hosts events like DJ sessions and small concerts. The rooftop is also available for private functions and has a capacity of 110 people.

When the rooftop is not available, you can always visit the Cafe Fabien and Club on the lower ground floor and basement of Generator Paris.
